PROMOTER GUIDE

If you haven't already signed up for your promoter started package, please call 212-724-3900 right away so you can get started selling tickets. Also, please click here to fill out the PromTime.com Employment Form

If you have already received your starter package, but you aren't quite sure what to do, follow the step-by-step guide below: 
STEP 1: PROMOTE THE AFTER-PROM PARTY IN PERSON: 

  1. Hand out all of the flyers to your friends.
  2. Tell them which party you are promoting for.
  3. Tell your friends about all of our events and that you are the OFFICIAL PROMTIME.COM representative in your school. Tell everybody in your school that you have tickets to the hottest after prom parties.
  4. Tell everybody to get their money together and they can purchase tickets directly from you.

STEP 2: PROMOTE THE AFTER-PROM PARTY ON THE INTERNET

  1. Promoting By E-mail:
    1. You will receive a second email from us that has the subject: “After Prom Tickets – Use this REFERRAL CODE: HERE to your friends. You should forward this email to everyone with your Referral Code instead of the word “HERE”.
    2. Tell your friends to purchase their tickets from PromTime.com and tell them to use your Referral Code.

YOU MUST MAKE SURE TO TELL THEM TO USE YOUR REFERRAL CODE IN ORDER FOR YOU TO RECIEVE CREDIT FOR THE SALE.

    1. Here is How You Get Your Referral Code:  
      EXPLANATION OF THE Referral CODE:  

Example: John Smith (212-724-3900)   Referral Code Would Be: JS3900 
First Initial of Your First Name = J (John) 
First Initial of Your Last Name = S (Smith)
Last Four (4) Digits of Your Phone # = 3900 (212-724-3900) 

*You may only use ONE referral code. Please write it down or store it in your cell-phone. DO NOT change your referral code. You may use your cell phone or your home phone, just pick one and do NOT change it.

  1. Using MySpace, Facebook, or other social networking websites:  

    MySpace & Facebook are excellent promotional tools. You can send all of your friends the link to the flyers. Click here for information. 

  1. You can also use these tools to promote the event.

  1. You can Instant-Message or just tell your friends to go to www.PromTime.com and use your referral code when purchasing tickets to get credit.
  1. Additional Instruction on how to use the referral code (How To Use Referral Code?). This link is provided for your friends in the email that you will forward.

STEP 3: The physical tickets will be in the package you receive in the mail. Sell the tickets you get, collect the money from your friends.
The price of the ticket is printed on the ticket.
Once you’ve collected money for the tickets, CALL US to make arrangements to settle up and get your tickets activated. Call 212-724-3900.

STEP 4: GETTING YOUR TICKETS ACTIVATED: 
Come to our office to settle up with us and activate your tickets!!!! 
After you have sold ALL 10 tickets, and you’ve settled with us, we will activate your tickets, and you will receive your free ticket!!!

If you need more tickets, you can collect the money from your friends and when you bring in all of the money to us, we will give you the activated tickets.

Frequents Asked Questions:

  1. Can I sell tickets for different clubs?  On Different nights?  To Other schools?  
    Yes, you may sell tickets for any club on any night to any school.  Just collect the money and when you come in to settle up for your original 10 tickets, we will issue you the other tickets that you need.  
  2. What if I can not sell all of the tickets? 
    That's ok.... Just settle up for the tickets you have sold and return the balance to us.  If you do not sell any tickets, you MUST return the tickets to us before their prom date. These tickets will NOT WORK at the club and you will be charged for them if you do not return them.

  1. I’ve sold the 10 tickets that I have but there are more people in my school who want to buy. They won’t give me the money without me giving them the ticket.
    1. Once you settle up for the original 10 tickets, we will give you 10 more to bring back to school.
    2. If you have more than 30 people who want to buy tickets, we can arrange for one of our representatives to come to your school to and sell tickets to your friends directly. Call us at 212-724-3900 or email us at info@promtime.com to make arrangements.
  2. How do I know how much money $$$ I’m going to make?
    1. For every ticket you sell in cash, you get : $5/ticket right off the top.
    2. For every ticket you sell online through PromTime.com with your Referral Code, you also get $5/ticket. There will be a check mailed to you for the total commission you earn on June 27th, 2008.
    3. Even if your prom is in May, you can continue to sell tickets all the way until the end of prom season.
    4. Bonuses:
  1. If you sell 10 tickets, you get your ticket for FREE.
  2. If you sell 20 tickets, you get TWO (2) tickets for FREE.
  3. If you sell 100 tickets or more, you get $500 on top of the $5/tkt!!
  4. If you sell 250 tickets or more, you get $2000 on top of the $5/tkt!!!
